Cruisin'

The weather was mild this week so the kids and I enjoyed some time outside after school. Here is a picture of Austin and Lauren going for a ride in Austin's Jeep. Lauren enjoyed riding, but she can't wait for her turn to drive!

Feeding the Ducks

On Monday we went to feed the ducks at the lakes by Lakeside Hospital. Our friends Beth and Kate came to meet us. There were so many ducks and geese everywhere, and boy were they hungry! I think Kate even got nipped trying to feed one of the ducks!

Going to Grandma and Grandpa's

Austin was lucky enough to spend a few days last week with Grandma and Grandpa. They enjoyed a good time on the USS Kidd and visited the LASM (Children's Museum). He ate lunch with Auntie and Great Grandpa. Thanks, grandma and grandpa for a great few days!!

Getting Started

OK...so I'm finally ready to join the digital revolution. Thanks to my good friend, Rochelle, she has convinced me that "blogging" is easy. So here goes nothing...

Hot Air Balloon Championship

This weekend we went to the Hot Air Balloon Championship in Baton Rouge. We began Saturday morning early for the sunrise competition. Our friends Shawn, Eric, and Ms. Belle came to meet us. We visited the kids village where Austin got to bounce and play. The day ended with the mass ascension from the field and fireworks in Ms Gay and Ms Edie's front yard. Thanks, Mimi, for a great weekend.

Welcome Madelyn and Daniel

On August 5th we finally got to meet the newest members of our family. Amy's cousin, Monica, delivered Madelyn and Daniel via C-Section at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. We couldn't wait to meet them. They are beautiful and we look forward to watching them grow up and play with their cousins, Austin and Lauren. Congratulations Schaus family!!!

Saturday at the Spouts

The weather was beautiful this Saturday so we met our friends Beth and Kate at the water spouts in Old Mandeville. The kids had a great time!
